Il Salotto di Giano A.P.S. partecipa a Origins Game Fair Online 2021
Roma, 25 settembre – Panel, seminari e sessioni di gioco per far conoscere il made in Italy, alla volta dell’internazionalità. Annunciato il palinsesto di attività digitali per Origins Game Fair.
Dal 30 settembre al 3 ottobre torna l’edizione digitale di Origins Game Fair, fiera ludica di Columbus (Ohio) promossa da Game Manufacturers Association (GAMA), con una ricchissima kermesse di appuntamenti che vede la partecipazione di ospiti ed exhibitors da tutto il mondo.
«Siamo fieri di poter annunciare che il Salotto di Giano A.P.S., dopo la partecipazione a GenCon, conferma e amplia le sue attività internazionali in lingua inglese partecipando a Origins. La nostra speranza è quella di costruire una community internazionale che, attraverso il gioco, possa dialogare, fare formazione e crescere assieme», afferma Orietta Albertini, presidente dell’associazione romana Il Salotto di Giano A.P.S. Un percorso cominciato già nel gennaio di quest’anno, con la docenza di Ron Edwards presso la Giano Academy – Accademia del Gioco di Ruolo e che ha visto i primi corsi in lingua inglese, che si amplierà a fine anno con i primi corsi in lingua inglese tenuti da docenti italiani, dedicati all’Adventure Writing.
Si comincia venerdì 1 ottobre, alle ore 21.00 italiane, con la sessione di gioco “The Lost Manuscript” per Broken Compass, condotta da Laura Cardinale, dedicata alla ricerca degli autografi danteschi.
Sabato 2 ottobre doppio appuntamento: alle ore 17.00 italiane si terrà il webinar “Designing Historical and Scientifical Adventures for RPGs” a cura di Laura Cardinale e Graziano Ciocca, volto alla divulgazione attraverso la scrittura di avventure per GdR; alle ore 21.00 invece sessione originale per Inferno – Dante’s Guide to Hell dal titolo “Lasciate ogni speranza voi ch’entrate” a cura di Mattia Ventura.
Si conclude domenica 3 ottobre alle ore 17.00 italiane con il panel a cura di Ron Edwards “How much action is in your action? Timing and movement in RPG design” e la sessione di Lex Arcana, alle ore 21.00 italiane, “Feralia” a cura di Alessandro Venti.
«Abbiamo scelto alcuni giochi di autori italiani, tradotti all’estero, che parlassero della nostra storia e della nostra cultura. Il Gioco di Ruolo ludico-divulgativo è, da sempre, una delle nostre attività cardine. A partire da ottobre, infatti, creeremo un calendario di sessioni originali in lingua da poter giocare una volta al mese con gruppi di giocatori da tutto il mondo», conclude la Presidente.

Il Salotto di Giano APS will take part in Origins Game Fair 2021
Rome, September 25 – Panels, Webinars and RPG sessions to promote Italian RPGs abroad. The program of online activities for Origins Game Fair has been announced.
The days between September 30 and October 3 will see the return of Origins Game Fair, a tabletop gaming convention held every year in Columbus (Ohio) and sponsored by the Game Manufacturers Association (GAMA), with its wide variety of activities attended by guests and exhibitors from all over the world.
“We are proud to announce that Il Salotto di Giano APS, after taking part in GenCon, confirms and expands its program of international activities in English, participating in Origins. Our hope is to build an international community able to communicate, learn, and grow through RPGing”, says Orietta Albertini, president of the Roman association Il Salotto di Giano APS. The association’s journey began this January, with the first courses in English taught by Ron Edwards at Giano Academy – Accademia del Gioco di Ruolo, and will continue this Fall with the first courses in English held by Italian teachers, dedicated to Adventure Writing.
The activities will begin on Friday October 1 at 3 PM EDT, with the RPG session “The Lost Manuscript” for Broken Compass, run by Laura Cardinale. The story will follow the players in their search for Dante’s autograph manuscripts.
Double appointment on Saturday October 2: at 11 AM EDT Laura Cardinale and Graziano Ciocca will hold the webinar “Designing Historical and Scientifical Adventures for RPGs”, intended to teach how to popularize history and science through the writing of RPG adventures; at 3 PM EDT Mattia Ventura will run the original session “Lasciate ogni speranza voi ch’entrate”, for Inferno – Dante’s Guide to Hell.
The program comes to an end on Sunday October 3 at 11 AM EDT, with “How much action is in your action? Timing and movement in RPG design” a panel by Ron Edwards, and at 3 PM EDT with “Feralia”, session for Lex Arcana run by Alessandro Venti.
“We selected games about our history and culture, written by Italian authors and translated abroad. Ever since our foundation, the popularization of culture through role-playing has been one of our main activities. That’s why, starting from October, we are going to schedule original sessions in English, to play with groups from all over the world once per month”, the President concludes.
